Kasab uses silver or gold fiber as embroidery thread and is one of the oldest embroidery techniques in India - dating back to the 16th century.

 Silk kota is a diaphanous, graph paper patterned textile made of tiny woven squares (khat), and hand-woven on pit looms in Kaithoon (near Kota) in Rajasthan. The textile  originated from Mysore during the 17th century.
